The Naedezdha or Hope class Cruisers are designed to provide a fleet with advanced sensor information as well as the ability to conduct long range precision offensive strikes with it's missile complement. The Naedezdha was designed due to the high manufacturing and maintenance costs of the Thor Class Cruiser. At half the size and roughly a third of the cost the Hope class Cruiser was well recieved by the Imperial Navy.
