History
The Conservative Action Party was officially created in 1959 due to the merge of the Conservative Party and the Action Party. At that time the Conservative Party was suffering, having last held a position of power since 1920 since then being a constant official opposition or third largest political party, recent regional political results in which the Conservative Party was traditionally strong however were weak threatening to create an environment in which the party declined into a state of destruction. At the same time the head of the Action Party was seeking further ways to enhance his parties and his personal political influence and despite the fact the Action Party did quite poorly the national elections as well finishing just above the Agricultural Coalition it managed to do quite well in the countries regional elections stealing quite a few seat from prospective Conservative and even Technology Party politicians. During a meeting in 1958 Joe Walsh the then leader of the Action Party had the first of many meetings with the leadership of the Conservative Party and over many negotiations in which political positions were tweaked and potential positions were settled it was eventually announced that the two parties would merge and form the Conservative Action Party.

Although for some time it seemed that the merger would not be successful with minor regional election results in late 1958 proving to be quite disappointing the merge proved to be successful when in the 1960 National Elections the newly formed Conservative Action Party won the election with a small majority, since then the Conservative Action Party has been elected into government a total of three times and has been the countries official opposition party since 1994.

The Conservative Action Party is known for its varying factions which support a wild variety of different political ideas, economically a majority of politicians support the idea that current nationalised industry should be sold to the private sector in order to increase its efficiency and provide savings to the consumer although some radical members of the party suggest that foreign corporations shall not be allowed to own controlling stakes in crucial industry. The official position of the Conservative Party is that only some of the most restrictive environmental regulations need to be repealed in order to allow the rapid growth of heavy and light industry in the country, radical politicians in the party however claim that the entire regulation rule book needs to be torn up and written again including some labour rules something which mainstream politicians in the party claim to be unacceptable, the Party however can agree on one thing taxes on the richest in society and regulation surrounding small and medium sized businesses need to be reduced in order to promote economic growth.
Economic Affairs
Socially the Conservative Action Party is incredibly mixed with some stating that the the rights of citizens to marry and adopt regardless of sexuality, species, race and religion is a fundamental right that should not be messed with by government, some more radical positions in the country however call for the criminalisation of interspecies relationships calling them unnatural and offensive to Malgravean beliefs, such a position is incredibly controversial even in the Conservative Action Party and some have claimed that the Former Shadow Transport Minister was removed from his position for making such comments to the press in 2009.
Economically the Conservative Action Party support widespread reform to the current economic apparatus, with the party platform proposing the widespread privatisation of state-run companies such as MalTec and MalMart and the partial privatisation of other companies like MalPha and AlcoMal. In addition the party also back programs to break-apart some workers self-managed enterprises which they say often support the Progressive Unity Party or Socialist Party. Typically, the Conservative Action Party had distanced themselves from the Most Illustrious Glorious Confederation of Proud Malgravean Proletarians and previously supported efforts to ban closed shops and weaken trade unions which they claim harm the economy.

The Conservative Action Party is also in favour of reducing income taxes in the country, as the top band of income tax currently stands at 90% and further social obligations with the ASG typically means that contributions are higher. In previous years the Conservative Action Party have also supported the abolition of LVT and it's replacement with a community charge, however, these plans have often been scrapped and their level of support in the party is unknown at this time.

On social matters, the Conservative Action Party has recently trended neutral with the party supporting the current status quo, however, CAP candidates in the past have gone on record stating that they believe that the level of censorship on certain foreign production needs to be increased and this has been briefly mentioned in some policy statements from the party.

The Conservative Action Party is a political party in the United Kingdom of Malgrave. It is currently the third largest political party in the Chamber of Representatives and the Chamber of Supervisors.

History

The Conservative Action Party was created in 1959 due to the merge of the Conservative Party and the Action Party. During a meeting in 1958 Alan Liepzig the then leader of the Action Party had the first of many meetings with the leadership of the Conservative Party and over many negotiations in which political positions were tweaked and potential positions were settled it was eventually announced that the two parties would merge and form the Conservative Action Party.

Economic Affairs

Social Policy

On social matters, the Conservative Action Party has recently trended neutral with the party supporting the current status quo, however, CAP candidates in the past have gone on record stating that they believe that the level of censorship on certain foreign production needs to be increased and this has been briefly mentioned in some policy statements from the party.

Foreign Affairs

Before 2000 the Conservative Action Party opposed the end to isolation, however, in recent years and following some defeats it has come around to supporting the policy. Since then the Conservative Action Party have called for Malgrave to take a more proactive and aggressive role in foreign affairs, with the party supporting intervention in the ruins of New Freedomstan.
