The garrison at Valkryon consists of a full Cohort of Tarsan troops as well as a bomber regiment and two fighter regiments. The unusually heavy concentration of air power is a left over deployment from past wars when Tarsan squadrons successfully defended Yisraeli air space countless times. Despite the large number of aircraft maintained in Yisrael, the [[Imperial Air Legion (Tarsas)|Imperial Air Legion]] staffs roughly half the pilots necessary and relies on assistance from Yisraeli pilots operating aircraft on lease agreements.
