NuNet is a Radictistani internet service and television provider serving the Greater Nuxenstat region. The company offers broadband internet and IPTV service for households and businesses in the capital area.

Services

NuNet operates using fiber-to-the-node (FTTN), fiber-to-the-curb (FTTC), and fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) connections. The precise level of fiber-optic connection depends on the customer's geographic location, with customers located within the central business district frequently receiving FTTB service while customers located in less densely-populated areas are served via FTTC or FTTN. NuNet completed a major program in 2018 to replace most FTTN connections with FTTC.

Internet

Internet service is provided through ADSL2+ and VDSL protocols over the public telephone network and optic fiber trunks. Under Radictistani law the public telephone monopoly, Royal Radictistan Telecom, is obligated to allow access to its network by private ISPs. There are three tiers of service, with the highest permitting download speeds of up to 36 Mbit/s with FTTC and 50 Mbit/s with FTTB.

Television

NuNet IPTV uses H.264 encoding. A residential household with the highest level of service can view live television on up to four televisions at once. Television channels are arranged thematically, with national news stations in the 1xx range, local channels in the 0xx range, etc. High definition channels are indicated by having their number increased by one thousand. Like all Radictistani television providers, NuNet carries all RBS channels as part of its basic package.

Packages

Customers within Greater Nuxenstat can subscribe to broadband internet and IPTV services either individually or through a "double play" package. Subscription to the combined package is encouraged by a small discount compared to the hypothetical price of separate internet and television service. In addition to the basic television channel suite, NuNet customers may subscribe to a number of add-on television packages, each containing a number of channels with more specialized appeal.

Availability

NuNet service is available to all locations within Greater Nuxenstat, although the quality of service varies by location.
