LB Cíocrach was an aircraft carrier built for the Royal Ossorian Navy and was one of the first ships in Tyran to be built from the keel up as an aircraft carrier.
Design
General characteristics
Cíocrach had an overall length of 183 m, a beam of 22 m, and a draught of 7 m. She displaced 11,000 t at standard load. Both of the ship's two geared steam turbines drove one 3-bladed propeller and were powered by six small-tube boilers and were rated at 41,000 shaft horsepower. This gave Cíocrach a speed of approximately 26 knots. She had a range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles at 13 knots.
Flight deck and hangar
The ship's flight deck was 174 m long and her hangar was 122 m long and 15 m wide with a minimum height of 5 m, and it was equipped with four steel fire curtains to isolate any fires in the hangar. Both the fore and aft lifts were 11 m × 11 m. A large crane with an 18 m radius was positioned behind the island. The ship's aircraft capacity was 20 aircraft standard. The ship's crew totaled 33 officers and 533 men, exclusive of the air group.
Armament
For self-defense against enemy warships, Cíocrach had six 140 mm casemate guns, three on each side of the ship, and with each gun being allocated 200 rounds. For air defense, she was fitted with four 100 mm AA guns arrayed around the islands' superstructure, with each gun being provided with 150 rounds.
