==Description==
The Kingdom of Shrek Land is a flourishing country ruled by the ogre, Shrek and Sophia Marchalleck. Since Shrek Land and its citizens are all for the magic the land possesses, they managed to live on an immense island right off the coast of Antarctica. With that being said, the fairytale creatures make sure the weather and living conditions are always a perfect fit for everyone. The land is divided into two. Far Far Away and Ogre Central. One side is reserved for fairytale creatures and the other for Shrek and his fellow ogres.

The first part, The Land of Duloc, ruled by the evil Lord Farquaad was a Dictatorship. Lord Farquaad was self-obsessed dictator who didnt care about the well being of his citizens. Towering over Duloc stood his castle surrounded by other notable buildings including a courtyard and cathedral. The surrounding shops only sold souvenirs with Farquaad’s likeness. Lord Farquaad initially wanted to become king because he ultimately wanted to banish the large number of fairytale creatures. Conveniently, he sent them to live in Shrek’s swamp. After Lord Farquaad’s death, Duloc was completely abandoned and The Royal Ogre Assembly made it so it rightfully belonged to the ogres.

The name Shrek Land comes from the ogre Shrek himself. Shrek had always had issues with his self-image. The anthem “Get Out of My Swamp” is exactly what Shrek would say when someone would rudely enter his home. It displays Shreks cold interior before he took over The Land of Duloc (previously owned by Lord Farquaad). The Kingdom’s moto, “Ogres Have Layers” means exactly what it states. Ogres do have layers and that means they have more to offer than just their fierce atributes, they are also loving and empathetic on the inside.
