He was a candidate for President of the United States in the [[2020 United States Presidential Election (LOTF RP)]] in the Republican Primary, winning several states but ultimately losing to former North Carolina Governor [[Nathaniel Richardson]]. After inciting a stampede and committing arson in downtown Atlanta during the [[2020 United States racial unrest|protests triggered after the death of Marlon Ward]], Porter secluded himself in a bunker with several fanatical supporters and engaged in a standoff with agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
