The Sacatepeque War, also known to the Caledonians as the Second Equatorial War and the Joyongheans the Gapsul War, was a conflict that formed a theater of the Kosmos First Great War. Fought in Central and South Katonia, the War began with the Caledonian invasion of the Sacatepeque region in Aurucolian Teyacapia, known as Tejacapia, in hopes of depriving the Aurucolians of a strategic region and weakening their presence in the Katonian region. In 1811, however, the current situation changed when the Joyongheans from New Toksong invaded the Eachainia Province in Caledonian Feachran after signing a pact with Aurucolia.
Almost a year ago, Aurucolia declared its support to Folaisia during the early years of Milread's War as they sought another ally in its fight against the Caledonian Empire. As Aurucolian troops and supplies bolstered the Folaisians and began to wane Caledonian presence in North Katonia, the Caledonian government decided to expand the war onto Western and South Katonia to strain and weaken Aurucolia's support and power in the continent. On 16 February 1807, Caledonians from Feachran invaded the Sacatepeque region in Tejacapia. Subsequently, naval and land offensives by the former commenced in Western Katonia around St. Isabel and the Forsythian Isles. The war in Tejacapia went in favor for the Caledonians, while East Katonia tipped towards the Aurucolians especially with their successful naval operations around St. Isabel and Kirkshiel. The Joyongheans were indifferent to the conflict as they prioritized economic growth to counter the effects of their famine. Afterwards with the famine contained, and seeing the Aurucolians losing in Central Katonia, Emperor Gwangjong proposed an alliance with the Aurucolians with the underlying goal of regaining the eastern portion of New Toksong, which was known in Feachran as the Eachainia Province. With the Kiskun Pact signed in 5 May 1811, the Joyongheans invaded the said province on the day after. The tide began to turn against the Caledonians, but with little effect in regards to the First Matasan Expedition that almost jeopardized Joyonghean resources in South Katonia. The effect soon intensified with the Aurucolian landings in North Feachran and the Joyonghean-Aurucolian invasion of Raonaillia Province. In the later years of the war, Feachrani colonists witnessed Aurucolian and Joyonghean soldiers encroaching on their homeland.
The war dragged on with the Caledonians becoming increasingly bogged in its war effort until 8 June 1823 when the Treaty of Tavindela was signed, resulting in Caledonia ceding Feachran's aforementioned province and the northern Raonaillia Province to Joyonghea and Aurucolia. The conflict would have a lasting effect on Feachran as the Caledonian government sought to pay back its war indemnity with its rather disproportionate Tax Act of 1824. This act along with uprisings and repressive measures from the Empire in this colony paved the way for the Feachrani Revolution.
