Imperial & Federal Armour refers to the wide variety of power armoured suits, usually used by the Common Army's soldiers to provide them with the necessary mobility on the battlefield. These armoured suits come in a wide variety of types and subclasses, but all provide a great degree of individual mobility, while also boosting the strength of the wearer far beyond the normal limits of most beings. Powered armour is expensive to produce and maintain, and so is generally only issued to the most well trained and disciplined of troops, who can be expected ot keep up with its care, and limit the number of replacement suits.

Parzifal Armour

Soldier of the Leopoldine Guard Dragoon Division in Mk III Dragoon pattern Parzifal armour. This soldier is wearing Errant variation Dragoon pattern armour, which emphasises sustained flight capabilities and heavy armour. He is wielding twin Ikadan Type 42 autorifles. In operations, this armour style would be used for mobile support of other armour variants.

Parzifal armour is the standard form of combat armour issued to R.u.B soldiers who are so equipped. Parzifal armour comes in three principal patterns, with multiple variants within each pattern. Mk II pattern armour is ordinarily used by heavy infantry, Mk III by dragoons, and Mk IV by certain jaeger units.

Knight Armour

Knight armour refers to the wide variety of armours worn by the various orders of Imperial Knights. Unlike mass produced Parzifal armour, Knight Armour tends to be individually tailored and manufactured for a single specific user, and--as such--individual suits will have wildly varying capabilities and inclusions. While individual orders attempt to promulgate some levels of standardisation within their ranks, there can still be general observations made about Knight Armour.
