The team was first founded by fans of American Football in Espoona that wanted a national team to compete in various competitions, under the Espoonian flag. After a couple of months of setup, the CEO of the technology company Solaris, [[Gennaro Fredere]], announced that a new team would be born, and the first match would be played the following month.
 
The name "Espoona Sharks" was selected the following week, along with the color schemes and uniform. They started play that month, playing a friendly against a team of Espoona sports players. They won the game 41-7.
 
From then on the team was invited to play other matches from other Micronations, winning 3 out of the 5 matches that they played that year.
 
The beginning of the next season was full of good things for the Sharks, as they were able to play and win the Sanuco Bowl. However, the following season was not as good for the team as only 2 out of 5 games were won and 3 of those losses were by 1 point differences.
 
In the following season however, the Sharks finally became consistent winners with 6 of 7 games being won. In addition to that, they were able to win the Sanuco Bowl for the second time.

The Espoona Sharks are an American Football team based in the nation of Espoona. The team has won 13 Sanuco Bowls, thanks to the investment of the technology company Solaris. Its current home is the Stade Espoona.

The team was first founded by fans of American Football in Espoona that wanted a national team to compete in various competitions, under the Espoonian flag.
