The Union Defence Force are the national armed forces of Zomia, with primary responsibility for the defence of all nine Princely States. Formed in 1971 from the consolidation of the Trucial Rangers and the United Army of the Liberation, after the purge of Zomia's paramilitary leaders, the UDF centralised Zomia's armed groups under the direct authority of the Prince Presidency.
