The Zomi Confederal State (Lue: ဖက်ဒရယ်ရှမ်းပြည်နယ်; Hpaatdaraal Hsanpynaal) was the official name of the confederation of tribal groups and princely states which formed in the aftermath of the Weranian Tripartite Government's dissolution of its colonial-era protective treaties. Though the Confederation claimed the entire present-day territory of the Union of Zomia, its leaders spent the majority of the Trucial Wars in exile, with the United Zomi Councils having de facto control of the country.
