Day of New Beginnings is a day that has many components and parts, which makes it a unique and complex day. Traditions in the day are common throughout the country, where different villages and towns will modify it to fit the area's culture better.

Clean Out

At the start of the day, the New Beginners will clear out their rooms or houses of their possessions to symbolise their new start as an adult. Their possessions often get given to their younger siblings, or to the local community, where the belongings will be shared between the children in their settlement. This results in possessions being handed down through generations and between nearby towns and villages. A 2018 survey showed that 78% of New Beginners will participate in this trend, but has been slowly lowering over the past few years, from 83% in 2006.
