The Battle of Grythshead was the decisive battle of the War of Grythshead Independence fought in 1301. Duncan Tyrel, the Lord of Kamoine, led the outnumbered Grythic forces against the Muslim army of Sultan Mehmet III of Ramubad. Mehmet was killed in the battle which ended in a victory for the Grythsheaders. The battle marked a turn in the fortunes of the Andyist and Christian kindgoms of southern Vionna.
