The Chenique Legislative Assembly is the legislature of the government of the Republic of Chenes. The Legislative Assembly in Chenes is unique for being a tricameral system, composed of two lower houses and a upper house. The Chenique General Assembly is the lower body for government of East Chenes, while the Chenique Representative Assembly is the lower body for the government of West Chenes. The upper body is the Chenique Senate, which represents both governments. Senate vacancies assigned to the government of East Chenes and General Legislative Members are chosen through elections, while Senate vacancies assigned to the government of West Chenes and Representative Legislative Members are appointed by the government of West Chenes. The Chenique Legislative Assembly has 327 voting members. The Chenique Senate has 48 elected East Chenique Senators, and 24 appointed West Chenique Senators. The Chenique General Assembly has 168 elected members, while the Chenique Representative Assembly has 87 appointed members.

The Chenique Legislative Assembly in its current form was created in 1914 after the signing of the 1914 Constitution of Chenes that established the new lower house, the Representative Assembly in an effort to integrate West Chenes. The 1915 Constitution of West Chenes gave legitimacy to the legal procedures of the Representative Assembly within West Chenes. The Chenique Legislative Assembly has existed initially as a unicameral legislative branch that consisted of the Chenique Senate that was created after the end of the Augusta Assembly in 1813. Before that, the Company of New Augusta had the Governors Council that served as as a town hall for various merchant trade posts established. In 1823 and the end of the War of Arossagunticook-Étienne, the General Assembly was created and the Legislative Assembly was made into a bicameral legislative branch.

Elections for the Legislative Assembly are only held for members that represent the government of East Chenes. Elections for the Senate are held every four years on March 5th, the Day of Étienne, where 4 posts are opened for election in every state. The General Assembly are held every four years on July 23rd, the Day of the White Rose.
