The Sermoni Fortunates are a Bonaventurean professional baseball team based in Sermoni. The Fortunates compete in the Arucian Baseball League as one of the five members of the South Division. Founded in the year of 1921 in the neighborhood of Porto Fortuna, in Sermoni, the Fortunates are arguably the most successful baseball team in the history of the sport in Bonaventure. From 1925 to 1946, the Fortunates played in the Bonaventurean National Baseball League, being the team who won the most Bonaventurean Series (18), and the team who won the most Bonaventurean series in a row (11). In 1947, the Fortunates joined the Arucian Baseball League and became the first Bonaventurean team to win the Arucian Series in 1957. Currently, the Fortunates are the Bonaventurean team with the most Arucian Series win (7), and most Arucian Series appearances (7), as well as the team with the most playoff appearances (16) alongside the Appano Lancers. The Fortunates are one of only three teams in the history if the ABL to win the Arucian Series in every appearance made.

With Tullio "Tutto" Soldano, Lanfranco "Lano" Gola, and Armando Lo Tito leading the team during the first years of the BNBL, the Fortunates raised as the powerhouse of baseball in Bonaventura. After wining the first ever Bonaventurean Series in 1921 and proceeding to win 11 consecutive series between 1924 and 1934, the team recieved the nickname of "The National Team," coined by Donato Frascella, a renowned sports journalist at the time. By 1935, most of the players present in the past seasons had retired or stopped playing. Between 1935 and 1943, the Fortunates struggled to be as absolute as before. The 1935 and 1940 were the only two editions of the BS not to feature the Fortunates as one of the contestants. The Solarian Wars and the Bonaventurean Revolution brought more support to the Fortunates, as the team became even more strongly associated with the Bonaventurean nationalism. This rise in support, summed to the talents of Right Fielder Cristiano Bellafiore brought the Fortunates to win the 1944, 1945, and 1946 BS again. With the establishment of the United Provinces of the West Arucian, the Arucian Baseball League sought to expand its activities across the West Arucian Sea. The Fortunates were chosen to be the representative of Bonaventure in the league, reaching the Arucian series for the first time in 1957, led by Shortstop Armando D'Ottavio. While the Fortunates staid out of the AS in 1958, they came back to defeat both Tranquille Sugars, in 1959, and the Saint-Chloé Imperials, in 1960, becoming the second non-Chloeois team to win the AS three times.
