Pava is a centre-left social democratic party. The party favors a Mixed economy in combination with a pacifist/non-interventionist foreign policy.

Historical the Capital Region (H.R.) and the Ommeland Region (O.R.) were Pava-strongholds until 2004. After 2004 a lot of the Pava-voters in the Capital Region and the Ommeland Region shifted to the greens (Aseg), and the regions became Green-strongholds.
