The Ice States is notable inter alia for its participation in the World Assembly, via its World Assembly mission. The Ice World Assembly mission was based in the Magecastle Embassy Complex, in building A5 thereof; before being relocated to Stonegrad after the formation of the Communal Union of the Ice States; and now operates from a satellite state in Southport City. The Ice World Assembly mission is headed by the World Assembly Ambassador, currently Robert Desak, and has authored a total of 43 resolutions which have reached vote, 34 of which have passed.
During the Imperial regime
During the Imperial regime, the Ice States was represented by Magecastle Embassy Building A5 as a de jure separate nation, so that the nation did not have to be subject to passed World Assembly resolutions. Yet, the Imperial regime notably established a program to repeal various key resolutions in the World Assembly so as to facilitate the Ice States' eventual entry without violating World Assembly law; this resulted in the successful repeals of GA #430, "Freedom of Religion", and GA #401, "Stock Exchanges and Foreign investment". However, this program would be leaked by Saverchenko-Colleti as part of a number of secret government documents he leaked while in Motokata; an event which contributed to the civil war which replaced the Empire regime with the Communal Union.
During the Communal Union
During the power of the Communal Union, the Ice States initially continued to be represented by Magecastle Embassy Building A5, up until the abolition of the death penalty following a national referendum the month after a civilian constitution was established for the Communal Union. The abolition of the death penalty prompted the Ice States to join the World Assembly the next month, resulting in Magecastle Embassy Building A5 resigning from the World Assembly. The Communal Union notably passed two resolutions which repealed and replaced GA #577, "Drug Decriminalization Act", and also authored GA #654, "The Civil Charter of the World Assembly", which establishes a formal constitutional document for the World Assembly.
During the Eternal Union
After the Eternal Union was formed, Robert Desak because World Assembly Ambassador, with the Ice States represented again by a satellite state, this time based in Southport City. Under the Eternal Union, the Ice States would author a number of resolutions, including GA #672 "Sex Worker Protections Act", and GA #700 "Whistleblowing Convention". A notable project conducted by the Ice mission under the guise of the Eternal Union was the repeal of GA #35 "The Charter of Civil Rights", which passed the vote in December 2023. The Union is engaged in an ongoing effort to replace this resolution, via GA #711 "Prevention of Hate Crime" and the ongoing drafting of an "Ethnic and Cultural Discrimination Accord".
Saverchenko-Colleti would continue to represent Communist Oldwitch, in the Southwest of the Eternal Union, which also continued authoring various resolutions, including SC #461 "Condemn Allanea", up until his death during the fall of the People's Republic.
