The V-58 originated as an Elatian copy of the T50100. They were modified in the 1970's with cloned 105mm rifled gun reverse-engineered from captured Enyaman Cavalier Main Battle Tank. They were further upgraded in early-80's-90's with laser rangefinder, uprated engine (780hp), stabilised main gun, digital FCS and navigation system, smoke grenade dischargers, DU-cored APFSDS rounds and AT-10 Stabber missile capability and explosive reacive armour.
