Saklemet, officially the Theocratic Republic of Saklemet is an island nation located in South Western-Olivacia. It is a theocratic republic consist of eleven administrative divisions (prefectures). The head of state is the High Priest of the Ismaturist Church, the head of government is the prime minister. Currently the strongest political party is the Free Ismaturist Party, which is religious, socially moderate and economically liberal. As of 2022, its population is 12.2 million, composed mostly of ethnic Saklemetis. Beglur is the country's largest city and serves as its capital. Saklemet has a primarily Mediterranean climate with two very distinct seasons. In the rainy season, the country receives between 650 and 950 mm of rainfall; in the dry season a hot dry wind from the East blows. The rainy season lasts approximately five months, May/June to October, and is shorter in the South of the country. Almost all of the country is covered with chaparral. Saklemet has a developed free market-economy.

Etymology

The name Saklemet has been historically, and interchangeably applied to both the states and the area where it is located on which many of those states, and smaller predecessor states have existed upon.

In old Saklemeti, Saklemet means 'central island' or 'middle island', as 'sak' means 'central or middle' and 'lemet' means 'island'.

Free Ismaturist Party, 61 seats A conservative, religious, market liberal party representing the Ismaturist Church. Currently the leading party.

Red Tulip Party, 30 seats A moderate social-democratic party with protectionist economic model. The second strongest party. Formed a coalition with the Liberal Party to balance the Free Ismaturist Party's majority.

Liberal Party, 11 seats A moderate, liberal, progressive, free market, federalist party with strong international focus. Some of them want to abolish the theocratic aspects of the republic, others just want to weaken it. They are in coalition with the Red Tulip Party.

Degir Wave, 4 seats Named after an influental Ismaturist warrior priest, Degir. It is a radical, ultra-conservative, nationalistic, theocratic party. They grow popularity rapidly, especially in poor areas.

Radical Patriot Movement, 3 seats An unitarian, republican, populist party and supporters of the previous Nationalist Republic of Saklemet. They believe in secularism and in a strong government with protectionist economy. The most notable trait of the party is its' militarism. Many members of the army are supporting this party.

People's Union, 2 seats A radical atheist and communist party. They have strong international ties with other communist parties around the world. They want to introduce a strong government with command economy.

Freedom League, 1 seat A small secular, libertarian party, who want reform the government and reach secularization. They support free market and individual rights.

(WIP) Saklemet is consisting eleven administrative divisions (prefectures). Governance of the prefectures is divided between the state and the local governments. Prefectures are led by prefect who are elected locally every five years. The eleven prefectures:

Beglur The capital prefecture of Saklemet. It is located on the Eastern part of the country. Saklemet's capital is located here in the Beglur Bay area and it is also called Beglur. This prefecture has the highest population. Most of the country's industry and businesses are located here.

Baban Also called the "River Region", Baban is agriculturally the most developed region. Mostly citruses, grapes, beans, chickpeas, coffee, tobacco and sorghum are grown here
