History

Overview

Education within the Common State is democratic, focusing on self-exploration, curiosity, criticism of authority, and positive psychology.

Literacy

Preschool

Kinderschule lasts from ages 5 to 8, children are taught cultural and social etiquette, character building, art, among other pre-academic skills. During this phase students are introduced to the democratic process, with weekly teacher-student meetings gathering polls on what students want to focus on in the day to day.

Primary School

Grundschule, or Primary School, goes from ages 9-12 and focuses on "General Learning", such as Language, early Maths, basic History, Arts, and early Sciences and is meant to build off of Kinderschule, promoting academic exploration and curiosity and building a close bond between students and teachers. Primary School offers more freedoms to their students, with education style shifting toward discussion-based classes and general and private school meetings focusing on what topics students and the student body wish to focus on.

Secondary School

Oberschule, or Secondary School, usually lasts around 4-5 years, starting directly after Primary. It is divided into four different types of schooling, each focusing on specific topics of Academia. Secondary school is the first non-mandatory schooling and is open to people of all ages. Secondary school's main focuses are on cultivating student interest in higher education, allowing the most freedoms for students to learn at their discretion with the aid of school resources. Secondary Schools actively seek to discover their students latent interests, connecting them to a web of other schools that may offer them opportunities for study that they might not have at their current facility.

Higher Education

Finally, Hochschule, or Higher Education, is a voluntary series of Universities located around the Commonwealth. Hochschule, or Higher Education, is the most general style, existing as an expanding series of universities throughout the country which double as places for public discourse and mass education through public seminar as well as higher education for enrolled students.
