Alina Kosova was born on 23 January 2001 the only child of Alyona, a doctor, and Alexander, a construction worker. Alina loved everything to do with singing and music as a young child, so at the age of four her parents tried to send her to [[Osti Royal Academy of the Arts]].  However her parents withdrew her from the musical school because as a child, she suffered from a {{wpl|speech impediment}} and consequently experienced {{wpl|bully|bullying}} and constantly made fun of by her classmates. It was during this time that she started to experiment with different genres and develop her signature style. In was only at the age of 14, that she was finally able to overcome her stutter - with the help of psychologists and the support of her parents.
