Magdalena Katrine Anderssen Nordhaag (born 31 December 1960), usually known as Magda Anderssen, is a Wulffren Union Party politician serving as First Minister of Wulffmark since 2015. The second woman to hold the office, she has been a SF for Brorkkemouth County since 1999. Previously she was Minister for Local Government  from 2006-2007 and Deputy Minister for Economics (2005-2006) in the premiership of Erik Dalholm.

Natascha Magdalena Løffebrück (born 30 January 1965) is a Wulffren Union Party politician serving as First Minister of Wulffmark since 2015.
Born in Brorkkemuhl, Anderssen was a financial researcher and consultant before entering politics. After holding roles at ExtraBank and Ruttgern-Wallen, she was elected to Brorkkemuhl City Council in 1993 after being made redundant from the latter. She lost re-election in

1997 and found work at Sandra Mobile, but was persuaded by her local Union Party contacts to stand for the Sturting. In 1999 election she was successfully elected
An economist and civil servant by training, Løffebrück holds a BA in Economics from Brunemouth University and has worked for several institutions including Wulffmarks Sturbank, LødeBank and the Department for Agriculture and Environment. A member of the Union Party since 1993, she was elected to Skügolund County Council in 2001, after an unsuccessful attempt in 1997. She held several positions within the County Union Party, eventually becoming its top candidate for the 2009 local elections. Løffebrück was elected County Mayor after the Blue Group won a narrow majority in the Council, where she first rose to national prominence. She was re-elected in 2013 local elections after the Blue Group increased its majority.
for her then home district of Brorkkemouth County, a post she has held ever since.

In January 2015 she successfully sought the top candidacy of the Union Party for the 2015 general election, unexpectedly defeating the favourite Carl Dahle Svenssen on transfer votes. After a campaign emphasising social liberalism, fiscal discipline and market environmentalism, she was elected First Minister after the 2015 general election. Her government consists of a coalition with the Centre Party recieving support and neutrality from the Blue Group.

Her premiership has included the introduction of a progressive corporation tax, market-oriented environmental schemes, changes to the immigration system, labour law reform, a re-structuring of QUANGOs, and closer relations with the Nordanian League.

Commonly described by observers as being on the left of the Union Party, Løffebrück describes herself as holding pragmatic one-nation Conservative sand a moderate pro-market views, saying that the state should be "a parent, not a nanny". She believes that Wulffmark should align with the Nordanian League rather than the Esquarian Community, arguing it is a "more natural" grouping for the country.

Løffebrück is unmarried and has no children, but lives with an unnamed partner in Ludkøping when
not in Brunemouth. She enjoys painting, swimming, hiking and cycling, and has taken up boxing and martial arts since becoming First Minister in response to the stresses of office.

Premiership
On the 30 September 2015, a day before first sitting new Assembly, Tomas Ekhanen resigned as First Minister. Two days later, on the reccomendation of Speaker Karsten Gøranssen, President Jens Jaalainen nominated Løffebrück to be the next First Minister. She announced that "many options were open" and hoped to appoint a cabinet by December. The exact arrangement of the new government attracted much speculation in the weeks ahead. After just over month of multi-party talks, it was announced on the 3 November that Løffebrück woudl lead a minority coalition with the Centre Party. On the morning of the 5 November, Løffebrück won the required confidence vote, and took office that afternoon.

Political views
Commonly described by observers as being on the left of the Union Party, Løffebrück describes herself as holding pragmatic one-nation Conservative sand a moderate pro-market views, saying that the state should be "a parent, not a nanny". She believes that Wulffmark should align with the Nordanian League rather than the Esquarian Community, arguing it is a "more natural" grouping for the country.

Løffebrück has hawkish views on national security and defence issues, having promised in the 2015 election to reverse the Labour Party's police force cuts and strenghten border security. She has also pressed to remove Wulffren citizenship from citizens commiting terrorism, something which has drawn large controversy.

On foreign policy, Løffebrück has committed to a "careful" foreign policy, based on avoiding direct foreign intervention but not ruling it out.
Personal life
Løffebrück is unmarried and has no children, but lives with an unnamed partner in Ludkøping when
not in Brunemouth.

She enjoys painting, swimming, hiking and cycling, and has taken up boxing and martial arts since becoming First Minister to cope with the stresses of office.

After a backbench tenure on the Economics Committee from 1999 to 2003, she was appointed Deputy Minister for Economics in a 2005 Dalholm Cabinet reshuffle. In
this role she assisted the 'light-touch' response to the ongoing recession credited with the later strong recovery. The following year she was made Minister for
Local Government, during which she finalised local government reforms. She initially returned to the backbench after the government lost the 2007 election but
was made spokesperson for Economics by Henrik Ulfstein and was widely expected as his choice for the role had he won the 2011 election. Anderssen succeeded him as faction leader after he chose not to stand for re-election, and in January 2015 was elected top candidate for First Minister in the 2015 election.

The brøsen (symbol Br, plural brøsor) is the national currency of Wulffmark. Introduced in 1922 to replace the former Wulffren krone, it is formally divided into 100 øre, although only 50ø coins are currently issued. It has been pegged to the Aininian louré at a central rate of 7.23Br since 1988.

Name

Originating from the word brøns (bronze), the name was historically colloquial for the lowest denominated bronze specie of the medieval Wulffren krone and its subunits. Although higher denominations were made from silver, gold and rarely platinum, only the bronze coins were typically seen by commoners making it the most publicly-recognised coin. Use of bronze spiece had ended by the late 17th century when the coins had been heavily debased with copper and other metals, although the phrase remained in common use for low denomination coins, which had retained the brown colouring. In the 18th century, the name was revived for small value deposit certificates.

The official name øre is derived from aurum, the latin for gold, although only early øre coins were minted from that.

History

Economics

Due to the impossible trinity, the Sturbank's targeting of exchange rates prevents it from targeting interest rates. Although capital controls have historically been imposed (as recently as XXXX), the Sturbank has never adopted interest rate targeting. Economists have noted that because of this Wulffren interbank rates have never deviated more than 179bp from Ainian benchmark rates.
