The Valkist Party, officially the Valkist People's Party (Altische: Valkistiche Volkspartei or VV) is a far-right political party in Altenland responsible for the development and implementation of Valkist ideology. The Valkist Party emerged from the extreme Altish nationalist and populist Vorhut paramilitary culture, which fought against communist and radical socialist uprisings in post-Great War Altenland.
Central to Valkist ideology is the concept of a "people's community" (Volksgemeinschaft), as well as the creation of "estates" (Ständestaat). The party aims to unite the Altish people into an organic union based upon a common ethos, culture, race, history and geography. Furthermore, the Valkists reject the class-based system as it exists, but disagree with the communist belief of inevitable class conflict, working to guarantee social mobility through a new aristocracy based upon merit.
Martin Winter, the party's leader since 1920, was appointed Chancellor by Kaiser Siegfried III in 1926, and moved to consolidate power for himself and his party afterwards. With other right-wing political parties under their charge in the Reichsbund, the VV exists as the single most powerful political entity in Altenland, ensuring the stability of Martin Winter's authoritarian regime. The party remains immensely popular among the Altish people due to its economic recovery programs, including ambitious efforts towards miltary rearmament and overhauling national infastructure, causing unemployment to plummet and stabilizing Altenland's currency.
