The United Folkdom of Temuair (commonly referred to as Temuair, Aisling: Aontaithe Tuatha na Temuair) is now a nation in Annwynn
Etymology
The term "Temuair", meaning "the promised land" in Aisling, has been used to describe the land belonging to the Aisling people. The people of Temuair are properly referred to as the "Tuthe de Danaan", the people of Danaan, or more simply, Aislings. The word also means "dream" or vision" in the historic language of Aisling people.
History
Geography
Government
Temuair is governed by the Ceannasaí, who is considered both the head of state as well as commander-in-chief of the armed forces. The position of Ceannasaí is one of the only non-elected positions of power within the Aisling government. Ceannasaí's have the privilege of naming their own successor; commonly done with the current Ceannasaí assumes the throne. The choice is kept secret until the death or abdication of the reigning Ceannasaí. The choice of successor can be changed by the Ceannasaí at any time, but the identity of the successor must be kept a secret, if the secret is revealed, that person is no loner eligible to assume the office. Commonly, the choice of successor is a child or close family member of the Ceannasaí, though there is no law restricting the choice. The only restrictions on the eligibility for an Ceannasaí is that he must be a veteran of the Temuair Defense Force, as must all persons holding public office. If a successor is not named, then the Chamber of Burgesses is tasked with selecting an Ceannasaí from among them, or appointing another worthy person. In the instance that an appointed successor declines to serve as Ceannasaí, the selection of a new Ceannasaí would be carried out be the resigning Ceannasaí, or if that is impossible, than the decision would fall to the Chamber of Burgesses.
The Aisling Oireachtas is structured as a bicameral legislature, being divided into two houses, or chambers. the Chamber of Burgesses and the Chamber of Demagogues, with the Chamber of Burgess being the upper house, and the Chamber of Demagogues being the lower.
The Chamber of Demagogues is comprised of a variable amount of representatives from each of the nations territories, the number being based on population. The Chamber of Demagogues is primarily responsible for the creation, review and passage of laws that effect the entire nation. Its proposals must be reviewed and approved by the Chamber of Burgesses, as well as by the Ceannasaí. A refusal by either means the proposal fails and is not signed into law. There is no limit to the number of items that can be proposed, nor is there a limit on how many times a failed item can be resubmitted. Members of the Chamber of Demagogues serve for 6 years, and their duties are considered part time as part of a citizen legislature system of government. The last election for the Chamber of Demagogues was in 2018, and the next will be in 2024. Elections are held in January, and new offices are appointed on April 1.
The Chamber of Burgesses is comprised of the 23 elected governors of each territory and the Head Burgess, appointed by the Ceannasaí. The Head Burgess is a non-voting member. It is tasked with a variety of executive functions not handled by the House of Demagogues, including the examination and ratification of treaties with foreign powers, the review of appointed officials made by the Ceannasaí, such as the various heads of government Ministry's, military officers attaining "flag rank" (General/Admiral and above), and justices sitting on the High Court. Lastly, the Chamber of Burgesses may initiate a vote of no confidence against a reigning Ceannasaí. If this vote is successful, the Ceannasaí is removed form office, and could be stripped of their citizenship depending on the reason for removal. Under these special circumstances, the Ceannasaí's choice of successor is made known the the Chamber of Burgesses, and thy Chamber may choose to accept or deny this selection. Burgesses serve a term of 4 years, and have no limits placed on the number of terms they can serve. The Head Burgess relinquishes their post of Burgess after being appointed to the position, and the duties of governorship fall to their Vice Burgess, who will also take their place in the chamber. The most recent Burgess election took place in 2016, and the next election will take place in 2020. Elections are held in January, and new offices are appointed on April 1.
The High Court is a body of 12 justices appointed by the Ceannasaí, and approved by the Chamber of Burgesses, which acts as the highest court in the nation, with jurisdiction over all territorial and local courts, and is the final authority in regards to constitutional law. Justices serve life terms, though they may retire at any time. Further, they can be removed at any time by a vote of the Chamber of Burgesses or by decree of the Ceannasaí.
The Character of Unification lay out the rights, responsibilities and privileges of both subjects and citizens of the Federation. Aside from suffrage being extended to those complete a term of service in the Aisling Defense Force, and thus win the right to the title of Citizen, the Articles of Governance make no distinction between a subject and a citizen. It s unlawful for the government, any person or any establishment to discriminate against a subject for not choosing to service in the armed forces. Subjects and citizens are taxed equally, may own land, and are governed under the same set of juridical laws.
Government Ministries
There are nine executive ministries which serve the central government. The directors or Ministers of each ministry serve on an advisory council to the Ceannasaí, and also serve to advise the Chamber of Burgesses on all matters within their realm. No member of the Chamber of Burgesses or the Chamber of Demagogues can be a director of a ministry while serving, nor can the director be a serving military officer. According to the Aisling laws regarding citizenship and office holding, all directors must be citizens of the Federation, even though the directors are not elected, but are instead appointed by the Ceannasaí and confirmed by the Chamber of Burgesses.

There are a variety of political parties in existence in Temuair spanning the political spectrum and focusing on a number of political issues. Military
The Aisling Defense Force are dedicated to the defense of the nation, its territories and interests throughout the world. It is an all volunteer force, as conscription is expressly forbidden under the Articles of Governance.
Service in the Aisling Defense Force is an option for any male or female subject upon the passage of their 18th birthday, there is no upper age limit to enroll in the service. Further, the law does not allow the Aisling Defense Force service to reject any application, regardless of age (not including being under the minimum age to join), sex, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, unless the subject is judged to be incapable of comprehending the oath of service. Testing standards are uniform across all servicemen, and a place must be found for all applicants who take the oath.
A term of service is four years for active duty and ten years for reserve duty, though can be extended if the government deems it necessary. Upon completion of a term of service and discharge under honorable conditions, the Aisling is no longer considered a subject of the nation, but a citizen of the nation, and is extended the right to vote for and hold public office. Failure to complete a term of service does not generally incur any punitive response from the government, unless under certain circumstances. However, if a person fails to complete their term, they can not reenter the service under any circumstances.
Law Enforcement
