The Garetolian Terrorism Scale (GTA) is the scale by which the Garetolian Government measures the threat of a political entity or organization. The levels are measured based on a number of varying factors, such as membership count and prior incidents.

The GTA was first developed in 2001 following the September 11 Attacks; fearing a similar event in Garetolia, the government instituted a system similar to DEFCON in order to measure how much of a threat any given nation or group posed towards Garetolia. It originally featured three numbered levels, but it was updated in 2007 to feature four levels.
