The Painlevé-class fleet carriers are a series of four aircraft carriers built by Chantiers Impériaux and Arsenal de Villaroche. With four carriers commissioned, only Gallois and Leclair are currently in service still. In 1978, the Quérangal was destroyed by two Tyrannian tactical nuclear strikes during the Sieuxerr-Tyrannian Conflict of 1978. The other carrier, Painlevé, was retired in 1989 just before the Bearn-class came into service. They are being replaced by the Bearn-class aircraft carriers and the Ferdinand Ferber-class aircraft carriers. In 2019 Gallois moved to port to begin her decommissioning process, which is expected to finish in 2021, however she is still listed as in active service.
The Painlevé-class carriers are a series of aircraft carrier used by the Sieuxerrian Navy and Sylvan Navy. They are the first large "fleet" carriers used by Sieuxerr and Sylva. The class of ships was named after Edward Painlevé, who was Consul of the National Senate during the Pan-Septentrion War, going against the long-tradition of naming capital ships after former or current provinces, departments, and regions of Sieuxerr. The Loire was lost in 1978 following the use of tactical nuclear weapons against it, and the Painlevé would be declared scrap after struck by an anti-shipping missile in 2004. The last ship, Aveyron would be retired in 2003 with the launching of the Lemosin-class carrier Auvernhe. Plans to bring it back into service following the scrapping of the Painlevé after it had been heavily damaged in 2004 were looked into, however the conflict was over before any realy commitment was made. It would be completely scrapped by 2008. The last three ships origionally to be built and comissioned by Sieuxerr were cancelled due to budgetary constraints post-1978. A modified variant of the Painlevé was built by for the Sylvan Navy and named the Duce-class. The ships are different from the Sieuxerrian ships with the use of Sylvan-produced sensors as well as Sylvan-produced weaponry.

The Painlevé-class carriers are a series of aircraft carriers used by the Sieuxerrian Navy and Sylvan Navy.
