Warwick Lionel Fairfax (17 December 1876 – 22 July 1964) was a Valentirian lawyer and politician who served as the Xth Prime Minister of Valentir from 1919–1941. Fairfax was a prominent revolutionary during the Wave of Liberation and Valentir's subsequent independence from Estmere. He is also well known for his leadership of Valentir throughout the Great War (1926–1935) when he mobilised Valentirian industrial and military capacity to support the Republic of Negara and the Grand Alliance. A lifelong member of the Valentirian Federation of Labour, he is the longest serving Prime Minister of Valentir, occupying the position uninterrupted for 22 consecutive years. Considered one of the Fathers of the Nation, Fairfax laid the foundations for the modern Valentirian state and shaped the cultural, political and economic landscape of the country. He maintained an immense degree of political and social influence following his retirement in 1941. In polls of historians and political scientists, Fairfax is generally ranked as first amongst the The Great Seven.
Fairfax was born in 1876, to the upper-class Fairfax family in the bustling suburbs of Brightwall, New Ardougne. His father, Ian Fairfax III, was a prominent left-wing politician and the Xth Premier of New Ardougne and his mother, Aliénor Leblanc, a Women's rights and Labour movement activist. Groomed to follow in his father's footsteps and join the family's prolific political dynasty, Fairfax moved to Valeins in 1896 to study at Queen's College, Valeins where he focused on Political science and Common Law. While studying in Valeins he encountered the beginnings of the Brotherhood without Banners, an independence movement that would eventually earn his sympathies. In 1901 he finished his studies at Queen's College and began working as a barrister under the employ of the Supreme Court of Valentir.
