San Luis, officially the state of San Luis, is a state spanning most of central-southern Askihuac, and is solely situated on mainland Oikoia with only minor outlying islands. It is bordered to the west by São Lenoas, northwest by Tlanukoy, northeast by Najolk, and Anáheiro to the east.
San Luis is the sixth-most populous state in the Serenacy, with over 18 million residents as of the 2096 census, and over 19.5 million estimated to reside in the state in 2100. The state is small by area and has a high population density among all states. The largest metropolitan area in the state is the Valley of Voclaria, which includes Voclaria City, the state's largest and nation's fifth-most populous city. The second-largest metropolitan area, Greater Orizatitlan, is centered in and around Orizatitlan, the state's second-largest city, and includes the state capital of Bahia de Diamantes. The state's subsequent five most populous cities are Ixtaloapan, Verahuahua, Naucalhuacan, Huixtoca, and Morerange.
Since the state's 1965 admission, a number of influential Luisians have proven national and global leaders in their respective fields. Ninth President Julian Águila was the first and thus far only Luisian president in the country's history, and incumbent Vice President Angélica Gálvez was also born in the state. San Luis was formerly the largest-state in the country until it was overtaken by São Lenoas in 1967.
