He currently serves as one of the Atlantian senators representing Illinois since 2049. Before his political career, Özkan worked as the Administrative Director for KOSCO branch in the United States.
Early life and education
Özkan was born to a muslim immigrant parents of Turkish and Lebanese-German ancestry. He was born in Islandia, New York but was raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey. His father was a professor at University of New York, while her mother was a manager at Halske American branch in New Jersey. He has a younger sister, Carina Ozkan, who worked for the USDA in the 2030s. Ozkan was raosed as a muslim and continues to follow Islam.
During his childhood, his father pursued masters degree Denmark then a doctoral degree in South Korea and he had to live together with his mother in the United States. After the September 11 attacks, Ozkan and his mother faced heavy discrimination, leading them to move South Korea and live all three together in Seoul, South Korea until 2006.
As a child, Ozkan was very interested in technology and arts. He acquired his first computer, an iBook clamshell when he was six, and during primary school, along with his friend, he tried to mod a popular first-person shooter game at that time, Counter-Strike Source. Later, he learned PC building and web programming in Middle school. He attended a Muslim prep school every day after his regular schooling.
