Their origins are traced to Ledonian settlers who came to the Claxelende Isles from mainland Ledonia in the late 4th millennium BL. Over time, most of the peoples of east and north Claxelende came to be known as Ledoniano-Claxkcuuns and spoke Old Ledono-Claxus.
