The Salacian Naval Crisis, also known as the February Crisis was a 9-day confrontation between the governments of Gristol-Serkonos and the United Zacapine Republics. The crisis was a culmination of the two governments' competing interests in the Salacian Ocean and the Malaio-Ochran region. The Gristo-Serkonan government also opposed the joint Zacapine-Wazheganon military installation in Winivere Bay, concerned that the ongoing dynamics in the Northeast Norumbian region would be altered with the Zacapine entry.

The president is elected by the Senate of the Lusoñan Republic. Lusoñans generally refer to their president as pangulo or lakan in Ahlranese. The president is limited to two six-year terms. No one is allowed to run or serve again after a 12 year period.
In February 2nd, the Gristo-Serkonan government ordered the mobilization of the Royal Gristo-Serkonan Navy to intercept the Zacapine Fleet intending to reach Winivere Bay. The resulting naval and air battle resulted in the deaths of xxxx personnel on both sides.
