Most of the first Axmaniean colonists came from the Nordebenen (North plains) region which was a very wooded region of the empire of Kaiserreich. When the first wave of colonists arrived ~1390, they named their promised land "Axt Männerland" (the land of the axmen). Toward the years and the evolution of the German language, "Axt Mann" will finally become Axmania or Axmanie.
