Atkeaism is a Biggonian nationalist, right-wing populist, and national syndicalist ideology based around the idea of Biggonian self-reliance and national exceptionalism, as well as a rejection of globalisation. Atkeaism emphasises the need for a centralised Biggonian government, as opposed to the previous confederal structure of the Biggonian Empire. Some thinkers consider the Atkeiast Party as revolutionary in its thinking, due to its founder Zakariya Gruber having fought in the Biggonian Civil War and advocating for the violent overthrow of any Biggonian government which refuses to put its own citizens first. Some detractors of Atkeaism describe it as republican. Although considered to be right-wing or even far-right owing to its opposition to the international community and view of Biggonian exceptionalism; Atkeaism also advocates for redistributive economics, union politics, and the abolition of noble titles, which are positions shared with many left wing parties and movements.
The Atkeaist Party is the only party in Biggonia or the planet which espouses 'Atkeaism', although some international movements share similarities with the ideology. As an ideology, Atkeaism was officially coined in 2022 in Zakariya Gruber's book The Atkeaist Manifesto, which he wrote whilst fighting for the Biggonian Commonwealth in the civil war. After the Civil War, Gruber was one of the first leaders to rise to prominence as he registered the Atkeaist Party on the 26th November 2023. Currently the party's main support base is in large urban centres amongst the working class, particularly working class males. Atkeaism's ideological development was accelearted by Paulus Lucas, who joined the party on the 3rd of Febuary 2024. Lucas helped to develop the party's domestic policy, strongly emphasising a centralised government and corporatist government structure, with an economic model which can be described as centre-left wing by attempting to encourage cross class co-operatives.
The Atkeaist Party frequently competes for votes with the Biggonian Worker's Labour Party (BWLP). Although a small party in terms of seats, the Atkeaist Party gained a large number of votes in the 2024 General Election thanks to their widespread appeal, winning 14.5% of the popular (primary) vote but just 23 seats.
