The premise for Quincy is simple with its newest iteration of lore: Quincy, or in this case, discount America, wins the War of 1812, taking over Canada, and as a result is a bit stronger during the later centuries. Britain collapses during the 1970s, and in the late 1990s, the USSR collapses, around 1998. In 2025, after mounting tensions, China and Quincy would enter a conflict, resulting in the Sino-Quincois War, which would culminate in a massive nuclear exchange.
The premise for Quincy is simple with its newest iteration of lore: Quincy, or in this case, Portuguese islands in America, is a nation that was founded off the back of Portuguese colonization in the 1500s. It remained entirely loyal to the Crown of Bragança for hundreds of years after the 1640 switch from the Habsburgs, and in 1910, thanks to the {{wpl|5 October 1910 revolution|Republican Revolution}}, the House of Bragança was forced to flee to Quincy as the last remaining Portuguese royal colony that remained with the Crown. In 1931, the House of Bourbon fled to Quincy after the {{wpl|Second Spanish Republic|foundation of the Second Republic}}, merging the two royal houses of Bragança and Bourbon into Bragança-Bourbon, creating the basis of the modern state. Quincy in function is a capitalist welfare state with extreme devotion to its citizens, and, while it may not be realistic, it works.

So that is the general premise. Some might call it similar to Fallout. That's definitely warranted. It has similarities, such as the Battle of Anchorage still existing, but unlike the Sino-American War of Fallout - my Battle of Anchorage was the ''only'' direct exchange between China and Quincy in terms of actual conflict.

Hello!

My name is Quincy, but you may call me "Qui" if you like. Qui-Gon Jinn also works too, but I prefer it less.

What do I do here on IIWiki, you may ask? Well, I don't do much. I'm from NationStates, and I mainly focus on one of my nations there: Quincy.

The premise for Quincy is simple with its newest iteration of lore: Quincy, or in this case, Portuguese islands in America, is a nation that was founded off the back of Portuguese colonization in the 1500s. It remained entirely loyal to the Crown of Bragança for hundreds of years after the 1640 switch from the Habsburgs, and in 1910, thanks to the Republican Revolution, the House of Bragança was forced to flee to Quincy as the last remaining Portuguese royal colony that remained with the Crown. In 1931, the House of Bourbon fled to Quincy after the foundation of the Second Republic, merging the two royal houses of Bragança and Bourbon into Bragança-Bourbon, creating the basis of the modern state. Quincy in function is a capitalist welfare state with extreme devotion to its citizens, and, while it may not be realistic, it works.

On that note, I bid you a kind farewell, and thank you for reading.
