Right after the [[Great Divide]] ended and [[Cascadea]] declared its independence, United Future was established on October 20, 2031 with the tagline "United for the future." The founder, [[Max Santoro|Maximilian "Max" Santoro]], was a former legal staff for {{wp|Fenwick & West LLP|Vance & East LLP}}. Right after the [[Great Divide]], he aimed to unite voters throughout {{wp|California}}, {{wp|Washington (state)|Washington}}, and {{wp|Oregon}} to promote a collaborative approach to national recovery. Initially, the general public was skeptical for its stance, especially from voters on both political spectrum. Left-wing voters criticizing it as "not left enough" while right-wing voters outright claimed it as "another danger to our existence". Eventually, the party gradually received more support throughout the years, along with its rival-turned-ally [[Green Party (Cascadea)|Green Party]].
