The 1936 North Bardonian General Election was the first election since the 1927 Snap Parliamentry Election of the Kingdom of North Bardonia and the first election of the New Republic and the first federal election since the Civil War. It was held on Friday; March 6th of 1936 and the results were published on March 13th of the same year. Alexios Demantus was nearly unanimously voted into the Presidency in Parliament with the NSP, MDL, NLP and a large part of the CDP voted for the war-hero and Acting-President to become president.
 
In the aftermath of the Civil War and nearing the end of the Great War this election was one of the first democratic election in the republic's history. Although many historians debate the authenticity and fairness of the election it is still considered major milestones for North Bardonian democracy.
