The tree towers on its shield comes from Ale having been divied by three chiefdoms and later on vassals, under both Sunnerland and Nor, up until the creation f of Greater Normark. These regions were Aleby, from which the name Ale comes from, that lied in the west, Aaln that lied in the south and Skiie that lied in the east. The towns and municipalities that exists in theres regions nowaday have the same names, even if most forts, towns and other buildings from the past are mostly gone.

Ale is a Region of Greater Normark that lies in the most southern tip of the country. The capital and largest city is Aleby, with other cities of note being Skogen and Hennerød. Ale was one of the last regions to be added in Normark, when it got split from Sunnerland after the Normarkian Civil War since the region of Ale supported the winning side of the civil war and therefore was rewarded with more autonomy.
