The Ringama uprising was a skirmish on the planet Ringama between the Obsidian Hand crime syndicate and a faction of freedom fighters led by former smuggler Jastre Ainsspel. The Obsidian Hand, which held control over Ringama's main spaceport of Mymag, had oppressed the citizens of the planet for hundreds of years as they utilized the settlements for the smuggling and production of spice. For years, the meticulous efforts of broker and Rusty Rim cantina owner Mikha Celath paved the way for an alliance of Ringama's various underworld networks to disrupt the operations of the Obsidian Hand across the planet. With the recruitment of Ainsspel and the partnerships with figures like Theron Voss, Xera and Tal Cagg, and the Crescent Underground gang led by Kalin Drev, an effort was made to oust the Hand from the spaceport. Operating from the town of Crescent Creek, a force of several hundred fighters trekked through the night to Mymag and assaulted the syndicate-held markets, command center, and spaceport. With low casualties and the eventual support of the majority of Mymag's citizens, the spaceport was seized and the Obsidian Hand pulled its units from Ringama.

In the aftermath of the uprising, the Crescent Underground helped facilitate security on the planet while Theorn Voss was named the administrator of the Mymag spaceport. The Galactic Union even sent delegates to assist in the setting-up of trade routes with Ringama.
