The Kingdom of Auvernian State dates back to King Auvernius I's coronation ceremony which was held at Frontignan in 729 AD. The ceremony featured an oath-binding ceremony in which his vassals swore their loyalty to King Auvernius I and to defense of his realm. The coronation marked the end of the Auvernian confederacy and a transition towards feudalism which characterized the majority of the history of the Kingdom of Auvernia. The Kingdom was ruled by three dynasties, all of which are descendants of King Auvernius I and his father King Auvernac who conquered the region two decades prior in the year 719. These three dynasties are known as the Old Auvernian Dynasty, the New Auvernian Dynasty and the House of Verdon.
