The Kingdom of Lachnow (Lachic: Królestwo Lachnowskie) is a Constitutional Monarchy located in Asura. It borders Chokashia in the Northeast, Myenia to the South and XYZ to the ABC. The population for Mid-2020 is estimated to be 44 122 543, only recently beginning to grow once more after a nearly two decades of contraction and stagnation. Lachnow's capital and largest city is Wyszogród and other major cities include Kamien Morski, Wielzamek, Krolewska Przystan, Pawlogród, Kossów and Stanislawów. By the Copper Age, human activity in the territory of modern-day Lachnow was already common and in the Iron Age increasingly diverse cultures migrated into the area of the modern-day state, however, it was the !Slavic tribal group know as the Lachowiaks who dominated the region and later gave Lachnow its name. The establishment of the first Lachic state can be traced to AD 911, when Zdislaw the Convert, ruler of a realm largely coextensive with the heartlands of present-day Lachnow converted to Alydianism in a ceremony officiated by a Midrasian Bishop.

With the passing of the prominence and prosperity the country enjoyed in the late Middle-Ages and Renaissance, the country went through a long period of decline which finally resulted in the First Lachnowian Revolution and the fall of the monarchy in the country by 1847. The young republic was unstable in it's beginning but later stabilized and in the 1850's and onward the country experienced significant industrialization. Universal suffrage for all male citizens was introduced and by By 1885, the country had experienced great change, rapid population growth, industrialization and the rise of a comprehensive labour movement. However unstable and frequently changing governments, first in the 1883 Election which was boycotted by the Lach People's Pact and then the 1887 Election where the National-Radicals which won the majority was unable to secure a stable ruling coalition, the problems became even worse after the assassination of President Jaroslaw Karski in december of 1888 which led to a military coup and the formation of the National Revitalist Republic in 1889. Internal repression of dissident movements was widespread and the country joined the First Great War on the side of the Concordat. The country's economy and people suffered heavily during the war and the defeat of the Concordat did not make the situation better. Some signs of recovery were being seen by the late 1920's but the Second Great War and simultaneous Second Lachnowian Revolution led to the fall of the National Revivalist regime and the rise of the Lachnówian Democratic People's Republic, a !Communist regime and a constituent state of the FSR until it's fall in 1981.

Lachnów entered a period of unrest and transition after the collapse of the FSR and it fought in a number of short brushfire border-wars in the power-vacuum. Soon the state was reconstituted as a Constitutional Monarchy with a Unicameral Parliamentary Democracy with universal suffrage. Today Lachnow has a developed market and seems to be growing into a regional power Asura. It's among the healthiest post FSR-economies and stands among the most dynamic in the world, simultaneously the country has achieved a very high rank on the Human Development Index. Lachnow is a developed country and maintains a developed school educational system. The state also provides free university education, social security, and a universal health care system to it's citizens.
