The Great Prybournean Smog Cloud also known as the Great Smog is a colossal smog cloud situated most of Prybourne and it's surrounding waters as a byproduct of it's unregulated and extensive industrial activities. Medical researchers have long studied the smog's impact on health as it's become clear that the smog had been a major environmental disaster with severe public health effects. As a result of this agriculture and vegetation is almost non-existence in Prybourne making the country reliant off of foreign imports as well as expensive energy infastructure due to the limited sunlight exposure to the country at any given time rendering it almost completely dark at most times. It estimated that most of the population has suffered adverse health effects, such as stinging eyes, coughing, and respiratory distress. The conglomerate of Prybourne has maintained that it is a side effect of progress and an acceptable concomitant to profit.
