The Malorianese Popular Front was a guerrilla movement involved in the Malorianese armed conflict starting in 1940. They are known to employ a variety of military tactics in addition to more unconventional methods, including terrorism. The FPM was formed during World War II as a Marxist–Leninist peasant force promoting a political line of anti-imperialism. They were formed as a response to the economic decline of the Republic of Malorian Islands as well as introduce Marxism-Leninism to the Malorian Islands. The group was funded through acts of kidnapping and extortion, as well as funding by the NKVD during its lifespan. After the overthrow of General Secretary Gonzales in 1953 and the loss of Soviet support, the group shifted from traditional Marxism-Leninism to Mao Tse-Tung Thought to justify their continuing war against the Kingdom of Malorian Islands. In 1955, the group was forcibly dissolved after a raid on their main headquarters by both the Malorianese Royal Army and Malorianese National Police. This resulted in the arrest, trial, and execution of many FPM members up until 1962. |
