Midnight Rider is an Aisling crime drama television series created by <a dude> which first aired in September of 2010. It is aired by the Apex Broadcasting Company. It was one of the longest running, and most critically claimed televisions shows in network history, attracting an average of 3.3 million viewers per week both in Temuair and abroad, as the show is rebroadcast by several foreign networks, and, as of 2013, it is available via DownLink, an Aisling direct-broadcast satellite service provider.

The series revolves around the life and deeds of Roz "Reckless" Banos (Carlitos Junco), leader of The Reckless, a fictional outlaw motorcycle club operating in Agradable, a fictional town located an hour away from Rucesion.

Though never explicitly stated, it is popularly speculated that Moonlight Rider, and specifically the Reckless MC, was inspired by the factual outlaw motorcycle organization Midnight Sun which was originally founded in Mileth in 1949 and continues to operate in the area, as well as in other locations across the nation. Midnight Sun has never been referenced or mentioned in the show to date.

The show first aired in September of 2010 on Apex Broadcasting Company and quickly became one of the networks most watched television shows. It reached its height in popularity during the shows third season, when total viewers reached nearly 5 million per week, and almost 10 million when considering international distribution. Seasons four and five did not improve upon these numbers, but also did not report any significant decrease. In addition, season 5 received the highest viewing ratings of any other Apex production. Moonlight Rider concluded with a two and a half hour series finale on November 1, 2017.

Series Overview

Season 3

Season 4

As a short term solution to the cash drain following the disaster in season 3, Roz authorizes Corzo and Matey to begin operating an underground brothel, named the Shady Lady. Barreiro, now vice president after Rosal's death, argues that the club should establish it as a legitimate operation as it would be easier to maintain and could serve as a money laundering establishment for the club's other activities. Corzo argues, citing that having any kind of law enforcement and government oversight could lead to scrutiny the club could ill afford, especially after the murder of Deputy Marshal Mendez. Roz ultimately sides with Corzo, and reminds Barreiro that the Shady Lady is Corrzo's operation.

Corzo and Matey begin the process of hiring staff for the Shady Lady, but have little success finding women willing to work in a semi-legal establishment that are not drug addicts. Frustrated, they approach <an organized crime guy we met earlier>, who puts them in contact with Matouš, a self-styled recruitment agent. Within weeks, the Shady Lady is staffed and business is booming. However, Mink the prospect, acting as a bouncer and general security for the club, notices a human trafficking brand on several of the girls, including Celeste (Johana Starratt). Corzo brings this to Roz and Barreiro, who demand that he cut ties with Matouš at once. When informed that there is payment due for Matouš' services, Roz orders Corzo to deal with Matouš, and that under no circumstances is he to allow the women working at the Shady Lady to be returned to him. Corzo, Matey and Mink travel to meet with Matouš and inform him that their business dealings are terminated. Matouš agrees but demands payment for his services. Corzo kills Matouš in the resulting fight. Searching his office, they discover that Matouš was actual a member of the <something> Syndicate. They rush back to inform Roz of this development, and the club prepares for the fallout of murdering Matouš.

In the season finale of season 4, Corzo, along with several of the Shady Ladies patrons and workers, are gunned down by several masked men.

Season 5

With Corzo dead, Matey begins developing plans to find safe havens for the girls working there, and propose to shut down the Shady Lady to safeguard them. Roz disagrees with the decision to shut down the business as the club sorely needs to revenue, especially with a possible war looming. Roz calls on <another chapter> to send muscle to Agradable to assist in securing the Shady Lady and other assets. Several bloody fights ensue between the Reckless and the Syndicate, with several members of other charters being gunned down. Even with the added security, the patronage of the Shady Lady continues to diminish, and it becomes clear that the Reckless must find another source of revenue.

Anna Barrach (Xulia Navia) is introduced in season five as the love interest for prospect Oliver Mink. She begins to learn of Mink's illegal activities with the Reckless and the ongoing issues at the Shady Lady and begins to attempt to assert her influence on him to pull him way from the club, especially as the fight between the Reckless and the Syndicate begins to heat up. As the violence begins to spiral out of control, Barrach chooses to follow Mink to the Shady Lady to plead with him to abandon the club and run away with her. As she approaches the Shady Lady she is attached by several masked men and abducted. A ransom note arrives several days later, along with a lock of Barrach's hair. The note demands the return of the branded women working at the Shady Lady, as well as 100,000, or Barrach will be branded and sold into slavery.

Roz, unwilling to return the slaves to the Syndicate, and similarly unable to amass the required sum required to secure Barrach's release, calls the club together to formulate a plan of action. Mink is summoned to the clubhouse, but does not respond. It is revealed that Mink, believing that Roz intends to forsake Barrach, has set off on his own to rescue her. The Reckless catch up with Mink before he can arrive at the rendezvous. A fist fight erupts between Mink and Roz, with Roz finally besting Mink. Roz reveals that the club has a plan to save Barrach, and forgives Minks's transgression. The Reckless execute their plan to save Barrach, however, when they arrive, they find her naked and branded body suspended from the rafters of the meeting point, and are subsequently ambushed by Syndicate members. The Reckless escape the ambush and retreat back to Agradable.

Roz extends Mink the offer to become a fully patched member of the Reckless. Mink accepts, so long as revenge against the Syndicate is in the works. Roz assures him it is.
