The Kelsol Class Guided Missile Aviation Cruiser is a comparatively recent addition to the imperia navy. Designed to offer air cover to smaller flotillas close to Imperial shores, the Kelsol is well rounded; which is both its strength and weakness. Much smalled than a traditional carrier the Kelsol class is noticably quicker than its contemporary counterparts. The ship is also more heavily armed with four 76mm guns and several vertical launch cells. However given the vessels decreased stature it carriers less than a third of the aircraft of larger vessels.

The Kelsol were the first Imperial vessels to feature launch catapults, abandoning the launch ramp of earlier designs. Due to the decreased deck and hangar spaces the Kelsol is incapable of fielding larger Huvakian carrier aircraft such as the UGF-35. The Peace Rocket fighter was designed in coordination with the Kelsol in recognition of this limitation.
