The People's Republic of Balagachistan also known as the Balagach People's Republic was a short-lived unitary sovereign socialist state which existed between 1991 and 2004, coterminous with the present-day country of Balagachistan in East Asia. It was ruled by the Balagach Communist Party and maintained close links with the Soviet Union throughout its history.
