The forgotten men, or "Di glömda" in Imerian were a very old civilisation in Southern Scandera that managed to create one of the first great Scanderan realm and besides the men of the broken back so were they one of the only civilisations to exist before the rise of the Wharen. While hardly anything is known about them so is it known that they were truly a powerful people said to have been able to demand tribute from all of Scandera and legend said their reach went far beyond the continent. According to legend were they powerful warriors and mages that controlled magic as easy as they created weapons unheard of since and before them. Some modern speculation even goes so far as them ruling worlds among the stars from some of the few stones that have found that show two instances of men reaching up to the stars where other men reaches down on separate stones. This however is also heavily debated.
According to legend so did they live in what today is Innanhafet millenniums ago but they rose up against the spirits of the land and demanded tribute of even the most powerful spirit kings. The spirits furious at their arrogance put all their powers together and let the seas swallow the lowlands where the forgotten men lived.
Historical evidence
While not much remains of their mighty legacy so have some few artifacts been found on the bottom of innanhafet. The only real evidence is the large runestone of the forgotten that stands in the city of the burning rose and is said to hold the secrets of their weapons and power and according to Scanderan legend so will the man that manages to unlock these secrets be able to rule all of creation once more as the forgotten once had. However since the meaning of the runes used by the forgotten and their tongue have since long on been lost to history (similarly to how the Wharen tongue, and the speak of the men of the broken back is also forgotten and lost) so is it impossible to decipher the runestone. This have however not discouraged the federal crown and the holy chronologically from trying over the centuries. Despite the legends though about them ruling a large empire outside of Scandera so have not much evidence been found of them outside of the continent though.
As their homeland vanished under the water of innanhafet so are there hardly any evidence of their existence though but a few ruined stone buildings have been found that seemed to be some evidence of their existence as have some pottery and other tools but these are few and far from between and not much have been put together about this mysterious people from them.
