Mararasa, (Standard Polawan: Mararasa Mara and Rasa logographics.png), is an island country in Vapor, and is situated in the Nordesian Archipelago, and is comprised of more than 6,000 islands, of which around 600 are inhabited.

Etymology

The name Mararasa comes from the term Mararasa Nūbedishu (Mararasa and System logographic.png), which means 'Foreign-Rule System' and was derived from the name of the new system of government utilised by the Polawans. This eventually became its common name due to Ibrahamic usage, though the Polawans prefer Niwanā (Niwana logographic.png, lit. land where we settle). The country is also internally referred to as the Hīnko Mir (<imgur>QmaPxmz.png</imgur>, government from Hīnko), and Netokūrun Bosīhē (<imgur>N9Gvvsc.png</imgur>, lit. the Tokurun's islands).

The Tolak people, who make up just over half of the population, call the archipelago Tanayr (<imgur>PCgRh0m.png</imgur>, lit. homeland), while the Neghe call it Chorotö (<imgur>8VRbGcc.png</imgur> ; <imgur>P0S2SHG.png</imgur>, lit. land of the living sun), and the Ara Pirak name it Mol Molin (<imgur>6D0mXan.png</imgur>, lit. many of many).
