Sieuxerr, known offically as the Imperial Senate and People of Sieuxerr, is a sovereign nation.
Etymology
The name "Sieuxerr" is a corruption of "Sans cesse", which is Merovingian for constantly, or forever. The meaning behind it stems from the Kingdom of Sieuxerr, which was used to describe that the land holdings of the kingdom would last forever. The name remained in used with the revolution in 1802, being used in the same manor.
History
Stemming to the early 200s, the land area that would make up modern day Sieuxerr was inhabited mostly by Gauls, which would evolve into modern Sieuxerrian peoples. The Gauls were themselves an evolution of earlier cultures, of whom the many Gaulish kingdoms and city states would conquer. The first series of large Gaulish Kingdoms would come around in the mid-400s. During this time important cultural events would occur, in which semi-modern Merovingian would find itself becoming the dominate language in Gaul, and would lead to the rebirth of the Gaulish Kingdom to the Kingdom of Sieuxerr, ruled by Hrothgar Mochán in August of 843.
The Kingdom of Sieuxerr would be split in 1799 during the Sieuxerrian Revolution. The majority of lands going to the new Directorate of Sieuxerr with the remaining royalty fleeing to the new Kingdom of Saintonge. However, the early state was plagued by outside invasions and internal devolution. In 1803, only four years after the establishment of the Directorate, then-General Napoléon Bonaparte and other government officials and military officials launched a bloodless coup in December which established the new Consulate of Sieuxerr. Within a few months however, Napoléon took power himself, establishing himself as the Emperor of the Merovingians. This brought in the establishment of the Imperial Senate and People of Sieuxerr.

The Sieuxerrian Armed Forces (Forces Armées Sieuçaise Impériales) are the military and paramilitary forces of Sieuxerr. The supreme commander is the Emperor of the Merovingians, Napoleon VII. The armed forces consists of the Sieuxerrian Army (Armée de Terre), the Sieuxerrian Navy (Marine Nationale), the Sieuxerrian Air Force (Armée de l'Air), and finally the National Gendarmerie (Gendarmerie Nationale) which also fulfills certain civilian police duties. It is one the largest and most advanced armed forces in the Able Vigil Accords.
The National Gendarmerie is apart of the armed forces and acts as the military police force of all the branches. It also has a counter-terrorism role and has a number of units dedicated to certain specialized actions. There are other specialized units that are apart of the Gendarmerie as well. This includes the Republican Guard (Garde républicaine), which are responsible for protection of major government buildings, the Maritime Gendarmerie (Gendarmerie maritime) which act as the Coast Guard, and finally the Gendarmerie of the Imperial Guard (Gendarmerie de la Garde Impériale), which serve as a specific protection detail to government officials, palaces and homesteads of important officials, and the family of the Emperor and their family.
The primary intelligence gathering agency of the Armed Forces is the Directorate-General for Studies and Research (Direction générale des études et recherches) which handles external security and intelligence gathering operations. It works together with its internal intelligence gathering sibling, the Directorate-General for Internal Security (Direction générale de la sécurité intérieure) which is under the auspices of National Secuirty (Sûreté nationale), which is the direct all-civilian counterpart to the National Gendarmerie.
Since 1983 there has not been a national conscription program in active use. However there stands the ability to restart the program if the need would arise.
Sieuxerr maintains a well developed nuclear force. Organized under the name Strike Force (Force de frappe), Sieuxerr maintains a nuclear triad of land-, air- and naval-launched nuclear weaponry. These includes the ASMP medium-range air-to-ground nuclear cruise missile used both by the air force and navy, the MIBAL SRBM, S3 IRBM and S4 ICBM for the army, and finally the M45 and M51 SLBMs for the navy. Sieuxerr also maintains the ability to produce, store, and use chemical and biological weaponry on the battlefield. Previously until treaties signed in the 1990s it maintained one of the world's largest stockpiles of chemical weapons.
In terms of military industry, Sieuxerr is a massive exporter. Developing and producing carriers, fighter aircraft and main battle tanks it also actively exports these on open markets. Since the 1980s, a move towards a unified structure of development and production has caused Sieuxerr and other AVA states to closely work together on many projects.
