RBS One is the flagship television channel of the Radictistan Broadcasting Service. It broadcasts domestic and international news as well as current affairs programs on a 24-hour schedule. RBS One has the highest ratings of any television channel in Radictistan. RBS One uses the DVB family of television standards.
History
Until the end of analog television in Radictistan, RBS One was broadcast using VHF channels 1, 2, and 4. The vertical blanking interval was used by the RBS teletext service, RBS Fernlesen. The first digital broadcasts were made in Nuxenstat.
Programming
Live news programs include:
- RBS Breakfast News - the morning domestic news program broadcast 0700-0900 and simulcast on RBS HD.
- RBS News at One - the early afternoon news bulletin broadcast 1300-1330.
- RBS Evening News - the evening news broadcast, considered the flagship program of the channel. Broadcast at 1800-1900 and simulcast on RBS HD.
- RBS World News - the latest international news reported by the RBS. Broadcast 1900-2000. Is filmed in HD but televised on RBS HD irregularly.
- Market Day - the daily financial news roundup broadcast 1700-1800.
- RBS News at Ten - a late night news program broadcast 2200-2230.
Pre-recorded programs include:
- The Nation Today - a multifaceted weekly documentary program on Radictistani contemporary life and events. It is well known for its acts of investigative journalism.
- Week in Review - a roundup of the previous week's major news stories, broadcast on Friday
- Kaleidoscope - an international current affairs program focusing on "man on the street" interviews. Is produced by the RBS World Service and also broadcast on RBS World Television.
- Under the Microscope - a weekly science program.
- Encounter - a weekly interview program.
High definition
The late morning and prime time news programs are simulcast on RBS HD as well as some current affairs broadcasts.
